I don't know who invented shipping (not shipping shipping - if you have no idea what I'm talking about, don't worry), but whoever did deserves a lot of money. In my opinion there is no better place than online to buy things. Now, I may be a bit biased because I don't drive, but there is nothing better than having something delivered right to your door. You don't have to go in the store. You don't have to see people. You don't have to deal with people commenting on the stuff you buy. I'm sorry, but I know what I'm buying and what it looks like. I don't need "well someone's going to have a good night" when I buy candy or "having a party?" when I buy a lot of food. No, I'm not having a party! I just like to eat, okay? Back to shipping, while you do have to wait for it to come - that's all you have to do.
Does anyone know why things seem to be cheaper online? I would assume "amazon" is like the grocery store and prices would be about the same. But that doesn't seem to be the case. I've spoiled my cat with three things to scratch... for the same price I would have gotten one at the petstore. I buy a lot of things through amazon or through other websites. It makes the people in my apartment's office hate me, but that's their problem, not mine. It's just so much easier to buy things online than at a store.
Back to another big thing that has happened in my life - pet ownership. I know I mentioned her last time, but that was when I had only had her a few days. Pets can be a handful, especially when they're sick. Although, I am very, very glad I have her (Storm) in my life. I know I mentioned having pets last summer, but I never completed the post talking about them. Storm is one of the kitties that I hung out with last summer. I have never met a more affectionate cat. She's sooo sweet. So despite the vomit on the floor and having to give her medicine, she has definitely made my life better.
Another thing I'm considering participating in is The Bracelet Project. This is a project where you create/buy a bracelet using different colors to represent challenges you've had in your life. From their tumblr page:
What we support is the project being used as a way to help one get better from whatever they are suffering from. To raise awareness for these issues/illnesses and to help those suffering connect with others in order to support them and find support for themselves.
We do not, in any way, tolerate the “promotion” of these issues/illnesses as something good, something to strive for, or something to achieve.
We promote happiness and good health and a positive means of getting there. If you would like to know the colors, go to the link above. If I make a bracelet (the main "if" factor is that they take a LONG time to make (or how I would want to do it), and I am lazy) the colors will be: blue, yellow, and orange. I could put teal in there as well, but I don't have any teal embroidery floss. If you made a bracelet as part of the Bracelet Project, which colors would you choose?
I feel like I don't do enough things to have a blog. So, a question to those of you who write your own blog, where do you get ideas of things to write about?
